Synq Solutions is a strong supporter of Opportunity Village, a Las Vegas-based, not-for-profit agency that helps employ people with intellectual disabilities.
Synq's Las Vegas print and fulfillment center has employed dozens of individuals for various fulfillment services, including clam shell packaging, box assembly and labeling.
"We're grateful to have hard-working, dedicated individuals help us with our large projects," said Billy Powers, general manager of Synq’s Las Vegas facility. "We're also proud to support Opportunity Village, which does a fantastic job of preparing these individuals for success."
Since 1954, Opportunity Village has become Nevada's largest private provider of vocational training, employment, advocacy and recreation for people with disabilities.
Laura D'Amore, Sales & Marketing Manager of Opportunity Village, said the organization conducted an economic impact study in 2009, which found that Opportunity Village saves Nevada tax payers $17.5 million a year in food, housing and other expenses for people with intellectual disabilities.
"We are so appreciative of businesses like Synq who support us," said D'Amore. "These jobs give our folks a chance to live a purposeful life and earn a paycheck," she said.
